Alan Downing

Alan Downing brings twenty years of wide-ranging financial service experience with him. After a successful managerial career with Royal London, he moved to his preferred role of training consultant in 1997.

Later, he joined a team of specialist with the task of designing and delivering training programmes for the regulated sales teams and their management. Being open to new ideas and thriving on the work load, he was selected to continue what the external consultants initiated. His role evolved into the co-ordination of training design, delivery and validation of both soft skills and technical programmes across all areas of the business.

In 2004 he became a freelance training and development consultant.

Alan now delivers regular workshops for numerous banks and building societies.

Regular workshops delivered for the Personal Finance Society, guarantee that he understands the practical application of the knowledge and understanding required to pass examinations. His feedback from organizations and delegates is consistently high.

Alan effectively adapts to “front line” T&C supervision and coaching when required.

He can work with a high degree of autonomy or as part of a team. His aim is to improve performance by the provision of training and coaching to all business areas on a consultative basis.
