Alan
Downing
Alan Downing brings twenty years of wide-ranging financial
service experience with him. After a successful managerial career
with Royal London, he moved to his preferred role of training
consultant in 1997.
Later, he joined a team of specialist with the task of designing
and delivering training programmes for the regulated sales teams and
their management. Being open to new ideas and thriving on the work
load, he was selected to continue what the external consultants
initiated. His role evolved into the co-ordination of training
design, delivery and validation of both soft skills and technical
programmes across all areas of the business.
In 2004 he became a freelance training and development
consultant.
Alan now delivers regular workshops for numerous banks and
building societies.
Regular workshops delivered for the Personal Finance Society,
guarantee that he understands the practical application of the
knowledge and understanding required to pass examinations. His
feedback from organizations and delegates is consistently high.
Alan effectively adapts to “front line” T&C supervision and
coaching when required.
He can work with a high degree of autonomy or as part of a team.
His aim is to improve performance by the provision of training and
coaching to all business areas on a consultative basis.
Maurita Black
Maurita is an accomplished professional within the banking
industry with many years experience and an excellent track record.
She has always worked in the financial services industry, starting
in 1993 with Bank of Ireland based in Belfast. In 1998 she moved to
Gloucestershire where she worked for Chelsea Building Society as
District Manager in their Cheltenham branch.
Since 2004, Maurita has worked with Archer Training and
specialises in CeMAP® training. Maurita loves working with people and
her training is based on styles which makes information intake and
processing easier and faster, increases memory and thinking power,
acknowledges human diversity and optimises the learning potential of
trainees. Participants are provided with sound theoretical knowledge
and exam practice experience to help them pass their exams. This is
achieved in a professional, involving and timely manner whilst
ensuring the learning remains fun and effective.
