What are the benefits of taking this exam?

The mortgage mainstream market has been getting tougher over the last few months as a result of the global credit crunch. This trend will not go away overnight so maybe you've been thinking of ways to diversify?

The answer is to become qualified to be able to advise on equity release products to your clients.

Why?

A 2004 study estimates that total equity in property owned by people over 65 is at least £1.1 trillion*
The same study also estimated that annual equity release sales would increase from the current £1 billion to £2 billion by 2010 and then to £30 billion by 2031*
Lifetime mortgage lending at the end of 2005 had reached £5.3 billion. This is equal to only 0.55% of the whole mortgage market by value*
Most pensioners see a reduction in income of at least 37% when they retire, a third will see a reduction of at least 50%

So its a huge market for you to get into which will allow you to diversify away from mainstream mortgages thus increasing your professionalism and client base.

By taking the IFS's CeRER exam.

Where is the Training Being Held?

We're using the CFC Conference & Training Suite

This is a superb, purpose built conference and training suite. Fully self contained and very roomy and comfortable. It is situated at the newly developed Twigworth Business Centre.

As a professional trainer, this has to be my favourite venue. We have a complete suite available to us with everything we need ensuite. All the right training equipment is there too - always a bonus.

Approximate travel times by car: Birmingham 1hr. Bristol 45mins. Cardiff 1hr. Cheltenham 15mins. London 1hr 50mins.

There is plenty of accommodation nearby. Two Travel Inns, one 2 minutes away (you could actually walk there in 4 minutes) and one 10 minute drive. Also you have the Hatherley Manor Hotel just 5 minutes away.

How much will the workshops cost?

£110.60 plus VAT (£19.36) i.e. £129.96 for the one-day CeRER Workshop.
Price includes all training, refreshments, lunch, Revision Guide

Do book early as we're limiting the number of delegates to 10 per course to ensure maximum learning. There'll be no other costs except the exam and study book fees from the IFS - www.ifslearning.com and overnight accommodation the night before, if you decide to stay over. We've negotiated some excellent rates from local B&Bs and hotels.

The IFS Study fees are currently £135.
